OPERATIONS

General

The Model D3589 will perform many types of operations

that are beyond the scope of this manual. Many of these

operations can be dangerous if performed incorrectly.

The instructions in this section are written with the under-

standing that the operator has the necessary knowledge

and  skills  to  operate  this  machine.

If  at  any  time  you

are experiencing difficulties performing any operation,

stop using the tool!

If you are an inexperienced operator, we strongly recom-

mend that you read books, trade articles, or seek training

from an experienced person before performing any unfa-

miliar  operations.

Above  all,  your  safety  should  come

first!

Always wear safety glasses when oper-

ating  the  mini  grinder  set.  Failure  to

comply may result in serious personal

injury.

READ and understand this entire instruc-

tion manual before using this machine.

Serious  personal  injury  may  occur  if

safety and operational information is not

understood  and  followed.  DO  NOT  risk

your safety by not reading!

Changing mini grinder accessories is easy. We recommend

that accessories such as polishing wheels, cutting wheels

and sanding drums/sleeves are installed before the acces-

sory is installed on the mini grinder.

To change an accessory, do these steps:

1.

  UNPLUG THE MINI GRINDER!

2.

Press in the chuck lock. If the chuck lock does not

engage, turn the chuck by hand until the chuck lock

engages. Loosen the chuck nut, as shown in

Figure
