MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance of your appliance will keep it safe and in proper operational order.
Before Cleaning
When not in use or before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply.
Cleaning
Regularly clean the outside of the appliance with a soft damp cloth and dry with a dry towel. Do
not immerse in water. CAUTION To prevent damage to the appliance do not use harsh solvents,
alkaline cleaning agents, abrasive cleansers or scouring agents of any kind when cleaning. Use
a soft cloth and a mild detergent.
Decalcification
Decalcification is the removal of calcium deposits which may form in the interior To get the best
performance from your kettle we recommend decalcifying your unit from time to time.
Frequency depends on the hardness of your tap water and how often you use the kettle. We
suggest use of a commercial descaler. Follow the directions on the descaler package. When the
descaling process is complete, empty the kettle and rinse out several times with clean water
before reusing.
Damage Check
Always check that the appliance is in good working order and that any safety guards and
removable parts are secure. Check the power supply cord and plug regularly for cuts or
damage.
Store in a Safe Place
When not in use store your appliance and all its accessories and instruction manual in a safe
and dry place.
