SMS center numbers
The numbers for the
British Telecom
SMS center have been pre-stored in your
fax machine. Normally these numbers do not need to be changed. In the
event that a change is necessary, use the following procedure. Two numbers
must be entered:
♦
Outgoing number:
This number is used to send SMS messages. Your fax
machine automatically dials this number when sending an SMS message.
♦
Incoming number
: This number is used to receive SMS messages. When
your SMS center calls your fax machine to send an SMS message, your fax
machine checks the caller’s number (transmitted to your fax machine by
Caller ID) against this stored number. This allows your fax machine to verify
that the SMS center is sending a message.
