cable is properly connected.

that runs from the ATV-2 to
the ATV-1 (ATV-1 connector

mode is properly set.

Check the NTSC system
output cable that runs from
the ATV-2 to the ATV-1(ATV-1
connector P5216).

Check to see if the output mode

Check to see if the monitor
cable is properly connected.

Check the video terminals on

Make sure the audio cable is
properly connected.

Make sure the audio terminals
are not defective.

DA (IC5305,

(IC5311 and

Check the audio
decoder (IC5301).
(No 5.1ch output)
Check the ATV-1
(IC5313, IC5314
and IC5315).
Note: When a broadcast signal is any other than 5.1ch (2ch, for
example), the 5.1ch analog output is given only for the
channel in question, but not for all the other channels.
The same signal is given for the 2ch L/R audio and record
2ch L/R audio outputs.
Check IC5303
(photo-output) and
IC5310 (coaxial).
Check the audio
decoder (IC5301).
Note: For playing back the digital audio on the
Dolby AC-3, the audio amplifier of the Dolby
AC-3 decoder must be externally connected
and the AC-3 mode must be set.
