Your oven has 5 power levels. To choose the power
level for cooking, follow the advice given in the recipe
section. Generally the following recommendations
apply:
100 P
(900 W) used for fast cooking or reheating
e.g. for plated meals, hot beverages, vegetables,
fish, etc.
70 P
(630 W) For longer cooking of dense foods
such as roast joints. For sensitive dishes, eg.
cheese sauce, reduce the power setting. At a
reduced setting, the dishes will not boil over and
meat will cook evenly without over cooking at the
sides.
MICROWAVE POWER LEVELS
To set the microwave power level :
Rotate the
TIMER/WEIGHT/POWER
knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to select cooking time.
Press the
COOKING MODE
button once (microwave only).
To change the microwave power level rotate the knob until the desired power level is reached.
Press the
+1min/START
button.
50 P
(450 W) For dense foods which require a
long cooking time when prepared conventionally,
eg. beef dishes, it is advisable to reduce the
power setting and increase the cooking time. In
this way, the meat will be more tender.
30 P
(270 W Defrost setting) To defrost, select a
low power setting. This ensures that the dish defrosts
evenly. This setting is also ideal for simmering rice,
pasta and dumplings.
10 P
(90 W) For gentle defrosting, eg. cream
gateaux, you should select the lowest power
setting.
P = PERCENTAGE
8
NOTE:
If the power level is not selected, 100 P is automatically set.
