To interrupt playback
Press the PLAY ( / ) button.
To resume playback from the same point, press the PLAY ( / ) button.

To stop playback
DVD:
Press the STOP ( ) button twice.
Resume play starts when you press it once.
SVCD/VCD/CD/MP3/JPEG:
Press the STOP ( ) button.
When the unit is left unoperated for more than 5 minutes after pressing the stop but-
ton, a screen saver appears.
Press any button on the main unit or remote control. The startup screen returns.
Caution:
!
Close the disc tray when not in use. Otherwise, dust may accumulate inside and
cause malfunction to the unit.
!
The unit is slightly heated when used for a long time. It does not mean the unit is
damaged.
!
When attempting to play discs with scratches or of a different region number, or
unplayable or restricted (*1) discs, an error message will appear on the TV display
and the disc will not play.
Notes:
!
When the unit is turned on, no operation is possible for 5 seconds as the unit is
proceeding the initial setting.
!
Stop positions may be recorded on some discs. When you play such a disc, play-
back stops there.
!
During an operation, " Invalid" may appear indicating that the operation is dis-
abled by the disc.

To resume playback after stopping
(resume playback)
You can resume playback from the point that the playback is stopped.
Notes:
!
The sequential playback feature is disabled on some discs.
!
Depending on the disc, playback may resume from slightly before the stopped
position.

To remove discs
While in the stop mode, press the OPEN/CLOSE button.
To remove a different disc, press the DISC SKIP button to turn the disc tray.
!
During playback, you can replace other discs.
!
When the disc tray is open, playback cannot be stopped. Close it.
!
DVD discs cannot be removed when the unit is in the stand-by mode for resume
play (
Resume lit). Close the tray, cancel the mode and try again.
(*1) Viewing is prohibited on some DVDs according to the audience age.

While the disc is playing, press the
STOP ( ) button.
The system stores the point you stopped.

To restart play, press the PLAY
( / ) button.
Play resumes from the point you stopped.
