This scenario refers to the DSPF equipped model only.
Procedure to troubleshoot: SPPD2_N jam code
Steps to reproduce the error code on the machine:
Shut down the MFP.
Remove DSPF rear cover by following the DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY section of the
Service Manual.
Locate the STRRC (Transport roller 1 clutch) by referencing the EXTERNAL VIEW AND
INTERNAL STRUCTURE section of the Service Manual and carefully disconnect it from the
DSPF PWB.
Steps to troubleshoot the error code:
1.
Power on the MFP.
2.
Place a document in DSPF. Make a copy and record the result.
3.
What Simulation would you use to check the recorded jam code?
4.
What jam code is recorded?
5.
What SIM would you use to test SPPD2 sensor?
6.
Does SPPD2 change state when actuated?
7.
What Simulation would you use to test SPUFM (Transport roller motor)?
8.
Does the Transport Roller Motor turn?
Note:
The Transport roller motor (SPUFM) and STRRC must be executed together in order to confirm
drive to roller 1.
9.
Does Transport Roller 1 turn when you execute STRRC and SPUFM together?
10.
What Simulation would you use to check the STRRC (Transport roller 1 clutch)?
11.
Does the STRRC clutch activate?

Steps to reproduce the error code on the machine:
Remove RSPF rear cover by following the DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY section of the
Service Manual.
Locate the SPRS (Paper exit roller solenoid) by referencing the EXTERNAL VIEW AND
INTERNAL STRUCTURE section of the Service Manual and carefully disconnect it from the
RSPF PWB.
Steps to troubleshoot the error code:

The SPRC (Paper exit roller solenoid) provides drive to the exit roller via the transport drive motor
rotation.
