(3) Selecting the items

Press the ENTER key (or the cursor

of the 1st category, and the top of Page 1 of the 2nd category will appear onscreen. (Press ENTER at the
MSP item, for example, and the TV GEQ BAND1 item on MSP Page 1 of the 2nd category will show up.)

Using the MENU, cursor

can be selected only within the setting menu of each of the 1st and 2nd categories. (Press the AUTO
PRESET key on the G/A menu of the 2nd category, for example, and the pages will change in the order of
G/A1

→
G/A1.)

To return from the 2nd to the 1st category, press the ENTER key. The cursor will then move back to the
setting item of the 2nd category. (Press the MENU RETURN key at the VPC item of the 2nd category, for
example, and the VPC item on Page 2 of the 1st category will reappear.)

With the PAL/NTSC item selected, press the (+)/(–) or cursor

called up and the cursor will move to Address 01.

5. Initialization
Connect pins (81) and (82) of IC3501 (microprocessor) to GND, and turn on the power.
6. Model-by-model transmission data
Nothing particular.
7. Adjustments
(1) +B Adjustment (R3717)
a) Receive the standard color bar signal.
b) Connect a digital voltmeter to TP3722. Adjust R3717 to achieve the 5.00±0.02 V.
Note: The 5.00V level is used as reference for all the supply voltages. Finely adjust and maintain this level.
(2) +B Adjustment (R4525)
a) Receive the standard color bar signal.
b) Connect the digital voltmeter to TP4531. Adjust R4525 to achieve the 13.00±0.05 V.
Note: This supply voltage is used as reference for all the gradation voltage. Finely adjust and maintain this
level.
(3) Common bias adjustment: COM BIAS on Adjust Process Page 1
Make this adjustment each for the 50 Hz and 60 Hz frequencies.
Set the input signal according to the indication.
a) Call up the adjustment process mode.
b) Select G/A on Adjust Process Page 2 first and then "14: DOT REVERSE FLICKER PATTERN 2" in "G/A
TEST PATTERN 1" on Page 3.
c) Then select "COM BIAS 60/COM BIAS 50" on Adjust Process Page 1.
d) Make the setting so that the flicking onscreen becomes minimum.
