RS-422 BOARD
Warning:
RS-422 Board installation/uninstallation must be performed by
authorized service personnel only.
Warning
This is a class A product. In a domestic environment this
product may cause radio interference in which case the user
may be required to take adequate measures.
The AN-S422 RS-422 board can be installed in an expansion
slot on a Sharp projector to control the projector by RS-422
interface. Before installing and using this board, be sure to
thoroughly read the operation manuals accompanying the
projector and Sharp Advanced Presentation Software.
Part Names

RS-422 INPUT terminal
Connects to the RS-422 OUTPUT terminal on another
Sharp projector or the RS-422 terminal on a PC.

RS-422 OUTPUT terminal
Connects to the RS-422 INPUT terminal on another
Sharp projector to daisy chain several projectors in a
network.

INPUT ENABLE/DISABLE switch
Set this switch to ENABLE when using the RS-422 INPUT
terminal on this board. Set this switch to DISABLE when
using the RS-232C INPUT terminal on the projector.

OUTPUT ENABLE/DISABLE switch
Set this switch to ENABLE when using the RS-422
OUTPUT terminal on this board. Set this switch to
DISABLE when using the RS-232C OUTPUT terminal on
the projector.
• When connecting to the RS-422 terminal, use a low impedance
cable that matches the connecting pin assignments below.
• Use the tip of a ballpoint pen or similar object to carefully slide the
ENABLE/DISABLE switch to the desired position.

Checking the Status of the RS-422 Board
1.
When the RS-422 board is installed, select "Options" from
the menu screen. "RS-422 Board" will appear for the
Option Board setting.

Select "RS-422 Board" and the RS-422 board status will
be displayed.
