tank)
2. 1 - Recovery/Recycling unit.
3. 1 - Heater blanket
4. 1 - Scale
5. 1 - External vacuum pump.
6. Process tube adapter kit (Robinair No.12458)
7. Tubing cutter.
8. Pinch-off tool capable of making leak proof seal.
9. Leak detector.
10. Complete brazing torch set.
11. Small 3-corner file.
12. Grit cloth or Scotch-Brite.
13. 45% silver solder and flux.
14. 1 - R-410A Gauge and Manifold set.
15. Oil test kits.
16. Heat Gun.
Installing and Operating Evacuation and
Recharging Equipment
1. Disconnect electrical supply to unit.
2. Recover refrigerant before servicing the unit.
(See Recovering Refrigerant on page 6-12)
3. Repair or replace components as needed. Install
filter-drier into the sealed system.
4. Attach process tube adapter to filter-drier process
tube.
5. Attach the R-410A service gauge manifold set to
system in following order:
NOTE:
Use the shortest hoses available for connecting
the evacuation and recharging equipment.
a. Hose from process tube adapter to center port
before hand shut-off valve.
b. Low-side hose to vacuum pump
c. High-side hose to refrigerant tank. Note that the
refrigerant tank valve is at the bottom
6. Close the refrigerant tank valve.
7. Open the high and low side valves on R-410A gauge
set manifold. Open hand valve for hose leading to
unit.
8. Turn on vacuum pump. Operate vacuum pump for
30 minutes to a minimum of 29.5 inches of vacuum
or until a vacuum of 600 microns is obtained. See
note on next page.
