INSTALLING THE BATTERY PACK
●
Warning! Always remove battery pack from your tool when you are assembling parts, making
adjustments, cleaning, carrying, transporting or when not in use. Removing battery pack will prevent
accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury.
● NOTE: To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack and keep hands clear of
tthe lock-out button when carrying or transporting the tool.
● Slide the battery pack into the pole saw base, Fig.3. (Note the battery has raised ribs which allows it
to fit into the pole saw only one way). Make sure the battery pack snaps into place and that battery
pack is secured in the tool before beginning operation. Improper installation of the battry pack can
cause damage to internal components.
REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK
● Locate the battery release catch on the top of the battery and press downwards, Fig.4. Whilst
holding down the battery release catch slide the battery pack away from the drill.
STARTING THE HEDGE TRIMER
● Hold the machine firmly with both hands. Press the safety switch, Fig.5 and then the trigger switch,
Fig. 6.
● Note: Both switches and must be enabled in order to switch the motor on and keep it running. The
motor will stop if either switch is released.
● Warning! Do not tamper or defeat the safety switch. Serious injuries could occur to yourself or others
of the safety devices do not work correctly.
STOPPING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
● Release the safety switch and trigger switch. Remove the battery from the trimmer.
●
Note: When the motor is switched off, a few sparks may be seen near the ventilation slots. This is
perfectly normal and does not samage the tool in any manner.
USING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
●
For your safety and that of others:
● Do not use the machine without having read the instructions carefully. Bcome acquainted with the
controls and the proper use of the machine. Learn how to stop the trimmer quickly.
● Only use the trimmer for its intended use, that is "the cutting and trimminf of hedged, consisting in
plants with small sizes branches". Any other use may be dangerous and severely damage the trimmer.
Examples of improper use max include, but are not limited to:
● General grass cutting and in particular, near kerbs;
● Chopping material for composts;
●
Using the machine for cutting non-plant material;
● Residual risks: even all the safety rule are obeyed, there still can be a certain residual risk, which
cannot be excluded. For the kind and construction of the tool the foreseeable potential endangerment
can be:
●
Contact with the unprotected cutting teeth.
● Involving fingers or hands into the moving cutting blade.
● Unexpected, sudden movement of the cutting blade.
● Sharp shrub stems, falling debris and off cuts, can damage your eyes, use eye protection at all
times.
●
Possible damage to hearing, if no hearing protection is used.
● Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occuring to other
people or their properly.
●
Always wear suitable clothing when using the trimmer.
● Trim only in daylight or good artificial light.
● Thoroughly inspect the whole work area before commencing and remove anything that could be
thrown up by the trimmer or damage the cutting device (branches, iron wire, hidden electrical wiring,
etc.).
● Be careful of flying debris coming from the cutting device.
● Stop the motor and remove battery from the trimmer;
● Whenever you leave the machine unattended;
● Before cleaning, checking or working on the machine;
●
After striking a foreign object. Inspect the machine for any damage and make rrpairs before
restarting ot again;
