OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS cont.

Components

On/Off Button: 

To turn the unit “On” 

and energize the boiler, depress the 

“On/Off” control button.To turn the unit 

off depress the “On/Off” control button 

once again.

Power “On” Light (Amber): 

This light 

will illuminate when the unit is turned ON 

and will remain on until the unit is turned 

OFF.

Safety Cap: 

In order to open the Safety 

Cap turn counter clockwise. 

Caution:

Read the instruction for “Filling 

the Water Tank” before opening the 

Safety Cap.

Temperature Ready Indicating Light 

(Green)

: When this light is “On”, it 

indicates that the steam is ready to use.

Note: 

This light will go “On” and “Off” 

during usage showing that the steam is 

being generated.

IMPORTANT:

Always insure that the unit 

is “UNPLUGGED” from the wall receptacle 

prior to initial filling or re-filling the water 

tank. 

Never attempt to fill this unit under 

a water tap

always use the filling funnel

provided.

Failure to follow  these steps will 

cause the water tank to overfill and may 

pose an electrical safety hazard.

Starting Your Professional

CAUTION:

Do not plug in the 

machine during filling.  Use a grounded 

receptacle.  Use only a   heavy duty 

extension cord rated for 15 amps - Do 

not use an ordinary extension cord.

Step 1:

Before filling the Portable 

steam cleaner, make sure 

that the unit is 

NOT

plugged 

in.

Step 2:

Turn Safety/Filler Cap 

counter clockwise until 

removed.

Step 3

: Place Water Filling Funnel in 

tank and add 1 1/4 quarts 

(5 cups) of water.  

Do  not

overfill

.  

Replace Filler Cap by turning 

clockwise - press down firmly 

to tighten.  Heating time is 

approximately 5-8 minutes 

with cold water.  Filling boiler 

with hot water will shorten 

heat up time.

Step 4:

Plug the unit into a standard 

(3-prong) grounded 

receptacle. The power light 

will illuminate. Depress 

On/Off button.     

Step 5:

Allow approximately 5-8 

minutes for vapor to reach its 

working temperature and 

pressure

.

When this have 

been reached, the Green 

Temperature Ready Light will 

go on and the unit is ready to 

operate.

Step 6:

Connect desired attachments 

into the Flexible Steam Hose. 

Note

: After you start using 

steam, the Green Indicator 

will go on and off 

intermittently, indicating that 

steam is being produced.

Step 7:

At the start, some water will 

come out from the nozzle of 

the attachment.  This is 

unheated water in the hose 

and is normal.

Caution:

When refilling the machine 

while it is still hot, the first drops of water 

might bubble up. 

Use caution when 

opening the Safety/Filler Cap.

Important:

When the Professional 

Shark Steam Blaster has run out of 

water, the low-water thermostat will 

switch off the steam generator.  The 

heater will NOT turn on again until the 

boiler has cooled down or has been 

refilled with water again.

IMPORTANT: 

Do 

NOT

add cleaning 

solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any 

other chemicals to the water used in this 

appliance. 

Use regular water or 

distilled/purified water if the tap water in 

your area is very hard.

Step 1:

Turn On/Off Button to “Off”. 

Depress the steam switch on the 

handgrip to ensure that any 

remaining pressure in the boiler 

has been released.

Step 2:

Disconnect Electrical Power Cord 

from wall outlet.

Step 3:

Carefully loosen the safety/filler 

cap by pushing down and rotating 

counter clockwise.  Any residual 

steam will be released below the 

safety/filler cap if the tank has not 

been completely vented. When the 

hissing stops and the last of  the 

steam has been released, remove 

the filler cap.  Allow unit to cool 

down.

CAUTION:

Allow unit to cool for 5 

minutes before refilling. 

If the Professional 

Shark Steam Blaster is still hot, there is a 

risk that water will be squirted back 

during filling and cause scalding.  

Extreme care should be taken when 

refilling the unit. Use caution when 

opening the Safety/Filler Cap as cap may 

become hot during use and escaping 

steam can cause scalding
Step 4:

Allow  the vapor steam cleaner to 

cool for 5-10 minutes before re-

filling with water.

Step 5:

Refill water tank with water using 

the filling funnel.

Step 6:

Firmly screw  the safety/filler cap 

back onto the unit by turning 

clockwise and pressing down 

lightly.

Step 7:

Connect power cord to the wall 

outlet. Press the On/Off Power 

Switch to the "On" position and 

wait until the "Temperature Ready" 

(green) light comes on before you 

continue cleaning.

Using Your Unit with Floor Brush

NOTE:

The angle adapter is usually 

already attached to the floor 

brush. Fit floor brush with the 

angle adapter on to the 

extension tube.

Step 2:

If the angle adapter is not 

attached to the floor brush, hold 

the brush with its bristles up in 

your left hand. With the angle 

adapter pointing downward, 

insert it into the hole in the back 

of the brush, then turn the angle 

adapter 180°.

Step 3:

Insert the electrical power cord 

into the wall outlet. Press the 

On/Off switch to the "On" 

position. The appliance will now 

begin to produce steam. Heating 

time is approximately 5-8 minutes 

with cold water.  Filling the steam 

generator with hot water will 

shorten heat up time. The green 

"Temperature Ready" light will 

come on when the steam is 

ready for use.

Step 1:

Connect one of the extension 

tubes to the pistol grip on the 

flexible steam hose.  To 

attach the extension tubes 

one onto the other or onto 

the pistol grip, press the 

locking button ensuring that it 

fits into the hole.  (See 

illustrations.)  To disconnect, 

repeat the operation by 

pressing the locking button 

and pulling the two sections 

apart.
