2.4 Safety functions
The following drive-related safety functions can be used:
2.4.1 STO – Safe Torque Off
When the STO function is active, the inverter does not supply any power to the motor.
The drive cannot generate torque. This safety function corresponds to a non-con-
trolled stop according to EN 60204-1, stop category 0.
The STO input must be disabled by a suitable external safety controller/safety relay.
The following figure illustrates the STO function:

INFORMATION
The motor coasts to a halt or is stopped mechanically.
Controlled standstill is preferred, if possible (see SS1).
