Using the microwave/light-wave combination
- When using the microwave/light-wave combination, the two functions are activated
alternately. The containers or plates must therefore be suitable for use in a
microwave appliance
as well as
being heat-resistant. Because of the relatively high
temperatures, plastic items must not be used. The rack provided with this unit is
specifically designed for use with all the functions described. Make sure that the
container or plate used does not contain any metal parts.

Operation
Using the steam generator
Before the steam generator is used for the first time, the water container and its lid should
be thoroughly cleaned in hot soapy water.
Operation:
- Open the water container lid.
- Lift out the container.
- Fill the container up to its
max
level with clean, fresh water (do not use mineral water).
Note: the water level should be between the
min
and
max
marks. If the level is below
min
, either the steam function cannot be started, or the container will need to be
replenished after a very short time. With the water level exceeding the
max
-mark, there
is a danger that water will reach the interior.
- Replace the container lid and ensure it locks into place.
- Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet.
- Place the plate containing the food to be cooked in the centre of the base plate.
- Close the door.
- Select the desired steam-cooking programme on the control panel and start the
programme.
Important notes:
-
Caution
: do not open the water container during the cooking process.
- If the water level falls below the
min
level, the programme is automatically interrupted.
A beep signal is heard and the steam-cooking symbol flashes, reminding the user to
replenish the water. However, before re-filling the container, allow the appliance to cool
down for a short time. Remove the container lid. Fill the container with water and
replace the lid before restarting the programme.
- While steam-cooking is in progress, steam is emitted through the aperture on the top of
the appliance. Once steam-cooking is complete, there may still be some residual steam
left in the interior, and there is also a possibility that some hot water may have collected
