Distinctions to be made
When using the VE432 with a recording system from a manufacturer other than
SERCEL, the following distinctions should be pointed out.
-
The Firing Order (FO) is transmitted via a hardware (instead of Ethernet) link on the
RECORDER connector, using the FO_PULSE signal available on pins C and D or
the contact closure controlled by the FO and available on pins M and N. See page
2-18.
-
The clock in the VE432 is not synchronized with that of the recording system. The
CLK IN signal on the RECORDER connector is not used. The VE432 generates its
clock locally.
-
The only links with the recording system are used to convey:
-
FO and TB signals via the RECORDER connector,
-
the required pilots via the ANALOG PILOTS connector.
-
All the functions of the VE432 DPG environment on the HCI are available.
-
The OPERATION environment must be open for production acquisitions to be
permitted. Naturally, automatic starting of the recording system by the vibrators is
not supported, nor is the navigation option.
-
The OPERATION environment can be initialized by SPS IN files, but no SPS OUT
files can be generated (no Operator Report is generated).
-
The POSITIONING environment is operational and allows the Center Of Gravity of
a fleet to be displayed in the same manner as with a recording system from
SERCEL.
-
The Activity window on the HCI is displayed and reflects the performance of the
DPG, provided that the GO388 environment is open.
-
The configurations with several DPGs (Slip-sweep) are not supported.
