SCOUT-3000 RELAY ALARMS SETUP
The Relay Alarm Setup menu allows you to set levels for activating the NO/NC relay. If
the Scout-3000 was purchased with an optional Relay board, the relay contacts will
close when the alarm trips, allowing control of external equipment via the alarms. If you
do not have the optional Relay board, you may still use the relay alarms to log events to
the USB drive and showing alarms on the Scout-3000 display. (Firmware must be
updated to RCM 2.2A and LCD 1.2A for multiple alarm delays. Contact Sercel GRC
Customer Service for more information.

. Relay Setup Menu
The threshold value, delay setting, and the current sensor value for each alarm trigger
are displayed in the Relay Setup menu (Figure 22). If the alarm threshold is exceeded
the sensor value will be displayed in red with time remaining until the alarm is enabled.
To enable an alarm press the ‘Edit Relay’ button to select the triggers from the Relay
Edit Menu shown in Figure 23. Enable the desired triggers by pressing 1-6 on the menu
to select the control parameter from selection menu in Figure 24. Set the function
(greater than ‘>’ or less than ‘<’ trigger value), trigger value, and alarm delay time by
pressing on the setting.

Set the trip point for the alarm parameter using the Edit Trigger Value screen. Use the
selection arrows to set the trigger value as shown in Figure 25. Press the ‘Save’ button
to store the setting or cancel to return to the Relay Edit menu.
