USB Device
The user can configure the USB bus (pins#3 and #5) in either USB 1.1 (full speed) mode,
or in USB 2.0 (high speed) mode. USB 2.0 allows higher bandwidth, but may not be
supported by all host hardware.
By default, the USB bus is configured in USB 1.1 mode. The update files
“AsteRx4_USB_1_1.suf” and “AsteRx4_USB_2_0.suf” contained in the firmware package can
be used to change this. The current USB mode can be checked with the command
“
lif, Identification
”.

Ethernet
There is no isolation transformer in the receiver.
The receiver supports full duplex 10/100 Base-T Ethernet communication. An example of
Ethernet application circuit with isolation transformer is shown below. The five lines at
the left are connected to pins#72, #73, #75, #77 and #79 of the 80-pin connector.

Stand-By Mode
In stand-by mode, the receiver only consumes a few milliwatts of power.
There are two ways to enter stand-by mode:
1.
by using the command
“
exePowerMode
” (see
the Reference Guide);
2.
by shortly driving pin#8 (nPOWER_TOGGLE) low.
