Safety instructions
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appli-
ance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they will not play with the appliance.
• First check that the voltage marked on the product corresponds with your supply voltage.
• Choose a position convenient to an electrical socket but away from sources of water. Do not use the appliance in the imme-
diate surroundings of a bath, a shower, or a swimming pool.
• The work surface must be heat resistant, dry and approximately 75cm high. A gap of at least 5cm must be left around the sides
of the appliance, since the sides of the appliance may become hot during use. Do not place the appliance on window sills.
• Do not switch on the cooking plate without container on top.
• This appliance must not be positioned beneath cupboards.
• Do not attempt to move hot plate until it cooled down completely.
• Ensure that pans are situated centrally on the cooking plate(s) and the handles are safely positioned.
• Care must be taken when using oil or fat for cooking. Do ensure that overheating does not occur, by maintaining close
supervision at all times.
• Once the cooking is over, turn the switch to “min” position. Ensure to unplug the hot plate from the electrical socket after use.
Do not leave the appliance unattended in the presence of children.
• Do not place the unit near the fl ammable material such as curtains that may cause fi re.
• Make sure that the electrical cable and plug cannot come in contact with water or humidity.
• Do not spray the appliance with any liquid. Never immerse any part of the appliance in water, or any other liquid.
• This appliance is for domestic use only and should not be used industrially. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Exercise extreme care whenever the appliance is to be used near the children. Always keep the appliance away from the children.
• Caution! Hot surface! The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is in operation.
Be careful and avoid touching hot surface which could result in skin burns. Unplug the appliance after each use
and before handling of the appliance let it cool down as the accessible surfaces remain hot for a while even though the
appliance is in operation no longer.
• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is to be moved, cleaned, or not to be used.
• Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not use the appliance if the electrical cable is damaged or whenever any possible internal failure or incorrect operation
has been detected.
• Do not attempt to make any repairs yourself. Always contact the offi
cial repair services for either mechanicalor electrical
repairs.
• Do not hold the electrical cable in hands and make sure it is not caught between furniture or any other object. Do not let
cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Unplug the appliance by holding the plug; do not pull on the electrical cable.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
