Operating Instructions for the Semak Rice Cooker
1.
Measure rice with the measuring cup. Rinse rice until the
water is clear and the rice is clean.
2.
Place washed rice in the pan, then add water. Eg. For each
cup of rice, add one cup of water. For 0.8L of Rice, pour
water up to 0.8 mark. DO NOT cook more than maximum
level.
3.
Place pan in the cooker. Ensure that the pan is directly in
contact with the heating plate by turning it slightly from
right to left until it sits properly. Wipe dry the outside of
the pan before use. A wet pan may cause a cracking noise
while cooking and may damage the unit.
4.
Place outer lid onto body.
5.
Plug unit into electrical outlet and flip on switch to begin
cooking, the red cooking light will illuminate. Once cooking
cycle completed, the warm light will illuminate. The rice
will be kept between 60-80
◦
c until the unit is disconnected
from the power.
6.
Once cooking has finished keep the lid closed to prevent
rice from drying out or discolouring until served.
7.
Do not leave the rice scoop or other utensils in the pan
during the keep warm cycle.
8.
Do not use the keep warm feature to re-heat leftover cold
rice.
