Troubleshooting
Before assuming that the device is broken, check the following. If you are still unable to solve the
problem, please contact the store where you purchased the device.

Power does not turn on.
AC adapter and power cord are not
properly connected.
Connect them properly.

ERROR lamp (red) turns on.

Unable to read.
The reading sensor pitch and the mark
pitch of the sheet do not match.
Use a matching sheet.

The timing mark format and the read
timing setting do not match.
Match the number of lines to read and
timing mark format with the sheet being
used.

The sheet guide is not properly set.
Set the sheet guide properly.
If there is a large gap between the sheet
guide and the sheet, the sheet will not be
sent through correctly, and some parts
will go unread.

The sheet is set in the wrong direction
(left/right, front/back, etc.).
Set the sheet in the right direction.

The sheet is curled.
Fix the curled sheet before using it.

There is a reading error.
Use the included checksheet to perform
a reading test.

Double feeding occurs.
The sheet is thicker than the double feed
setting value.
Change the paper weight using the
Rotary Switch RSW3.

The computer program does
not work properly.
