INTRODUCTION
3.1 Overview
This Product is composed of a clock unit, solar panel, GNSS receiver and clock controller
QP-400GS. The energy generated by the solar panel is stored in the capacitor inside the clock
controller, powering the clock unit during the nighttime. The GNSS receiver receives the radio
wave from the GNSS satellites to synchronize the time of the clock unit with the precise time
signal it receives.
3.2 Requests to Customers
Please request the SEIKO dealer or agent from whom the Product was purchased to perform
the maintenance work including checking, repair and cleaning of the clock at least once a
year.
WARNING
Do not attempt by yourself to perform any maintenance work including checking,
repair and cleaning. An accident causing personal injury or death may result. For
the maintenance work, contact the SEIKO dealer or agent once a year or so.
3.3 Maintenance

The rust accumulated on the clock frame, mounting bolts or other parts not only
compromises the aesthetic quality of the Product but also reduces its mounting strength.
Check the mounting bolts for loosening once a year or so.
To ensure longer service life and maintain the aesthetic quality of the Product, it is
recommended that the clock be cleaned and repainted before it is rusted badly.

Even if the clock frame is made of stainless steel, it may catch rust from the iron powder
that adheres to it from the surrounding environment. To prevent the clock from catching
rust, clean it on a regular basis.
Rust forms particularly easily in industrial districts and places near the seaside, and in those
areas, it is necessary to always keep the stainless surface of the clock clean to maintain its
luster.

Wipe the clock frame with a moist soft cloth.

If the clock frame is soiled excessively, wipe it with a cloth soaked with a small amount of
diluted solution of neutral detergent, and then, wipe it again with a dry soft cloth.
・
Do not use benzine, thinner, polishing powder or any type of brush for cleaning.
