①Pull out the crown to
second click when the
second hand is at the 12
o'clock position since the
second hand will be
stopping on the spot.
(For models with screw lock type
crown, unscrew the crown by
turning it counterclockwise, and
then pull it out to second click.)
②Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the desired
time. The date may be altered here, however it can be adjusted
separately later. Refer to "Date setting" for details.
When setting the hour hand, make sure that AM/PM is set
correctly (The date changes once every 24 hours.) If AM/PM is
set in error, the date will change at 12:00' noon to show the
wrong date as a result.
*The moment the date changes it is midnight.
*The mechanism of quartz watches is different from that of mechanical ones. To
set the time accurately, advance it 4 to 5 minutes ahead of the desired time and
then turn it back to the exact time.
*The telephone time signal service (117) is helpful in setting the exact time.
