Remove the batteries from the battery compartment when you are not using the remote control for more than
a month. Make sure that the battery compartment is always closed when the battery is inserted!

Only operate the device when the battery compartment is closed!

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be re-charged!
▪
New batteries should not be used together with used batteries!
▪
Always use batteries with the same type!
▪
Never short the terminals of the batteries!
Start up:
Attention:
In order to prevent your hearing from being stressed too much by the very loud alarm tone, do not hold
the device close to your head during the function check! To avoid frightening noise-sensitive persons such as small
children, do not hold the unit in the same room during the function check!
Attention:
Check the function of this device weekly!
Activation of the heat detector:
Attach the mounting plate to the back of the unit until it is fully engaged. Then press and hold the TEST button for
about 3 seconds until the LED lights up and a short beep is heard. The device is now ready for operation.
Functional check:
To check the function, keep the TEST button pressed for approx. 3s. The alarm tone sounds and the LED lights up
red. This is to check whether the electronics, the alarm of the heat detector and the battery are functioning. The
alarm tone stops immediately after releasing the TEST button.
Note: If neither the alarm sounds nor the LED flashes, the device is not activated or the device may be defective. In
the event of a defect, the unit must be replaced
Temporary muting the Alarm:
In the event of a false alarm, the alarm tone can be muted for approx. 10 minutes. It is essential to ensure that the
alarm was not triggered by a fire! To mute the alarm temporarily, press the TEST button. Then open doors and
windows to cool down the air. If after 10 minutes the room temperature is higher than 54°C, the alarm will sound
again. The mute function can be repeated as often as required by pressing the TEST button. This function cannot be
activated if there is excessive high temperatures. To deactivate the mute function, press the TEST button!
Recurrent self-test of the heat detector on its function:
This device performs every 32 seconds a self-test. You can see this by a short blink of the LED.
Explanation of the LED modes :
LED flashes every 32 seconds: This device is working properly..
LED flashes every second and alarm sounds: TEST button is pressed or the alarm has been triggered by
heat.
LED flashes every 8 seconds: The unit is in the silent mode
LED flashes every 32 seconds and a short
alarm tone sounds: Battery is low. Replace the unit!
Every 32 seconds a short alarm tone sounds
and LED doesn´t flash: The unit is defective or the maximum service life has been
reached. Replace the unit
