Washing or Cleaning your STV1 Remote
Recent studies have shown the television remote control is one of the
"dirtiest" electronic devices in any household. As a common-touch device
that is handled by everyone in the family, germs on the remote can easily be
transmitted to others. Only Seal Shield™ remotes are both washable, and
also protected by Silver Seal™. Silver Seal™ is an antimicrobial,
fungistatic agent which makes the product greener and fresher by inhibiting
the growth of microbes, odor-causing bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi on
the product’s surface
.
You can easily clean the STV1 remote at any time by spraying it with a
disinfectant spray and wiping it dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. You
can also wash the remote in a sink of warm water using a disinfectant soap,
or you can simply put the remote in the dishwasher on the top rack. We
recommend you remove it before the heat drying cycle and dry it by hand.
Before you put the remote in the sink or the dishwasher, please ensure the
screws that hold the battery cover in place are secure.
