TRAPDOOR Projection Screen
Thank you for purchasing the Screen Technics Trapdoor Projection Screen
Please review the following points fully before attempting to begin installation.
Description
The Trapdoor Projection Screen provides a solution for in-ceiling installation with a self closing automated door,
to hide the projection screen when not in use.
The system is contained within an MDF constructed box with a fully painted and finished underside including
integrated ceiling edge strips, so that once installed no plaster work or painting is required.
The rear door is the one that opens during normal operation, with the front door opening only for service issues.
Installation
With the main box being of MDF construction the installer can fix any brackets that are suitable into the 18mm
thick MDF box walls or utilise the captive nut-serts – 5/16 Whitworth thread - 4 off supplied, for threaded hooker
rod or eye-bolts for chain suspension of the unit.
Unit should be lifted into position being careful that the ceiling edge strips are level and flush with any ceiling line
or ceiling material, then fixed into position.
The installer must make sure the structure the unit is attached to, is sufficiently secure to handle the weight of the
unit, which will vary from different size to size screens – seek advice from the sales department if weight is an
issue in the installation.
