6.6.2.3.1 Average
Results are obtained in the same manner as the standard (Non-Low Current Deck)
answers. The monitor circuit is polled just prior to the end of the source application,
without regard to any AC noise. This is the fastest mode but offers the minimum
noise immunity.
6.6.2.3.2 Zero-Cross
Attempts to limit the effects of AC line noise by always polling the circuit at the time
the induced AC passes through a zero point. An on-board zero-cross detector
determines the zero point. Noise immunity is superior to the average mode but
increases test time.
6.6.2.3.3 Integrate
Offers the best noise immunity by integrating the monitored result over a complete
AC cycle. The test time is lengthened by at least one AC cycle. This mode is
recommended for low-level leakage measurements.
6.6.2.4 Kelvin
Select this option if the Low Current Deck Option or Kelvin Contact Cables are part of
STI 5000 Series Tester and Kelvin Check is desired. If selected, the kelvin test is run
at the start of each test sequence and if failed, the test sequence is aborted, the
selected Kelvin Bin is asserted at th
e handler and the message “KELVIN” is
displayed at the front panel of the STI 5000 Series Tester. Default is Kelvin off.
6.6.2.4.1 Kelvin Bin
Selects the Handler Bin desired if a kelvin test fails. The default kelvin bin is eight.
6.6.2.4.2 Kelvin Limit
Selects the limit to use to determine the kelvin failure. The limit is in mA and
adjustable from 200 to 800 mA. The lower the value, the higher the cable resistance
allowed. The default limit is 600 mA.
6.6.2.5 Autopolarity
Allows testing of diodes and zeners without regard to orientation. If selected the STI
5000 Series Tester runs a “V
f
” test at the entered current and based on the limit entry
performs the actual tests in the appropriate direction. If not selected, a device
mounted backwards will fail.
Using the Autopolarity Forward and Reverse test steps, with Autopolarity selected,
device sorting can be accomplished based upon mounting direction.
6.6.2.6 Revision
The selected number (between 0 and 255) is stored in the STI Test Program.
6.6.2.7 Test Program Information
The Test Program Information is a free form text box the user may store any desired
information (such revision date and specifics about the revision).
