Notes on particular risks
The turning rings and the chuck may pose a danger for persons
(danger to life and limb) if they
• are not used as intended;
• are not used or clamped properly;
• The safety and installation instructions, the safety and
accident prevention regulations valid at the usage site or
the EC Machinery Directive are not observed.
DANGER
There is a risk for life and limb of the operator in the case of a
fracture in the chuck jaws or when the turning ring gets lost.
• When using our turning rings in the rotating chuck the
EC Machinery Directive prescribes the use of protective
equipment, so that if the chuck or a component thereof fails,
flying parts will be caught by the protective equipment.
• The machine manufacturer must ensure that there is a
sufficient wall thickness of its housing / protection equipment
(considering the currently valid directives and standards).
WARNING
When loading and unloading the turning ring, there is a danger
of crushing limbs by opening and closing of the chuck jaws.
Do not reach between the jaws.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Prevent the power chuck from being operated unintentionally.
NOTICE
Do not load the sides of the clamping pins!
There is a danger of the clamping pins shearing off.
