Basic safety notes
Risks to persons and property may arise from incorrect handling
of this product if these instructions are disregarded.
• Carefully read the manual prior to application and start-up of
the turning rings.
• Please observe the operating manual of the relevant chuck.
• Report damage to the turning rings and the power chuck as
soon as you detect it and repair immediately, so as to keep the
extent of damage as small as possible and to avoid risking the
safety of the chuck.
Use original SCHUNK spare parts only when exchanging
damaged parts.
• Keep this manual available for the personnel at all times.
• If the product is passed on to a third party, these instructions
must also be passed on.
Intended use
The ADR-S turning rings serve to turn Ø 250 - Ø 505 soft jaws
at 5 mm distances. The product may only be used on the basis
of its technical data. It can be used for a 2- 3- or 6-jaw chuck.
The specified maximum technical data must not be exceeded
during use.
The product is intended for industrial use.
Use as intended also requires that the user has read and under-
stood this entire operating manual, in particular the chapter
“Basic safety notes”.
Not intended use
A not intended use of the ADR-S turning rings is for example:
• the turning rings are not clamped properly.
• if persons are operating the chuck with clamped turning rings
without wearing additional protective equipment and hence
disregarding the safety regulations.
• the technical data are exceeded when using the turning ring.
• the clamping pins on the turning rings are not clamped across
the entire surface (surface pressure)
