Motor Screw Positions

ANTI-SQUAT OR PRO-SQUAT

The best balance on the car is usually with a level

wishbone pin, however a small amount of anti-squat can

improve on power traction.

By adding

U4932 - Split Block Shims

underneath the front

split blocks you will get anti-squat.

By adding

U4933 - Strap Shims

underneath the Rear

strap you will get pro-squat.

0.5MM SHIM = 0.75o CHANGE

FRONT KICK UP OR ANTI-DIVE

The best balance on the car is usually with a level

improve stability under braking.

By adding

U4932 - Split Block Shims

underneath the

rear split blocks you will get anti-dive.

By Adding

U4933 - Strap Shims

underneath the front

strap you will get front kick up.

The Mi7 has multiple ways of adjusting flex: Topdeck thickness and cuts, motor mount screw positions, split block or strap wishbone mounting.
A flexible car is usually used in low grip conditions. Conversely a stiff car is usually used in high grip conditions
Flex along the length of the car can be used to adjust the balance of the car. e.g. More flex in the front end gives more steering

A thinner topdeck gives more flex.
As does cutting the topdeck

Using more screws to hold the motor mount in makes the car stiffer.
Moving the position of the motor mount screws adjusts the flex front to rear.

Split blocks will make the car more flexible at either end of the car.
Using split blocks instead of the FR strap will give more steering.

Arm sweep:
For every 0.5mm difference between front and rear insert at the same end of the
car, there is a 0.5° angle change on the pivot pin.
Arm sweep is used in the front of the car to generate more steering by,
decreasing the pin width at the front-rear position.

The Anti-lozenge system helps to maintain belt tension
under high torque conditions. It offers a more precise
driving feel, leading to better consistency.
Mounting the system from the servo mount rearwards
gives more steering.
