RECHARGING THE EMERGENCY CAR STARTER
The EC-4000-USB comes uncharged. We recommend you charge
it immediately. Recharge after every use and every month if not
used. There are two ways to recharge:
A. Charging the EC-4000-USB’s internal battery with the AC
wall charger:
. Plug the AC wall charger’s adaptor into the charger recep-
tacle on the back of the starter.
. Plug the wall charger into a 0V AC electrical wall outlet.
The INTERNAL BATTERY CHARGING LED will illuminate
red.
3. Wait 12 hours when charging for the first time. Subsequent
charges will be complete when the INTERNAL BATTERY
CHARGING LED illuminates green.
Note:
The AC wall
charger does NOT automatically shut off. Monitor the charge
time and be sure to disconnect the rear charger jack when
finished recharging the EC-4000-USB.
B. Charging the Emergency Car Starter in the vehicle:
. After the vehicle is running and the CHARGE CAR BATTERY
switch is in the OFF position (button up), simply plug the
EC-4000-USB’s V DC male adaptor plug into the vehicle’s
V DC accessory outlet. When the INTERNAL BATTERY
CHARGING LED glows, the unit is being recharged by
the vehicle. Do not leave the EC-4000-USB connected to
the vehicle’s V DC accessory outlet when the vehicle’s
engine is NOT running; the EC-4000-USB may discharge the
vehicle’s battery.
