Charge Rate Selector Switch
Use the Charge Rate selector switch to select the charge rate setting you
require.
5A or 10A Charge Rate
•
– Use for charging automotive, marine and deep-
cycle batteries. Not intended for industrial applications. The charge rate of
either 5 or 10 amps may be used with any of the output voltages.
Voltage Selector Switch
Set the voltage selector switch to match the total of the battery voltages.
Connect the batteries in series only (connectors included). The selector switch
is in 12 volt steps; never connect an odd number of 6 volt batteries. Two 6 volt
batteries connected in series equals one 12 volt battery. A combination of 6
and 12 volt batteries may be charged.
12, 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72 Volts
•
- Use to the proper voltage based on the
total voltage of the batteries hooked up. The total voltage of the batteries
must equal the switch setting.
Ammeter
The Ammeter indicates the amount of current, measured in amps, that is being
drawn by the battery. As a battery takes on a charge, it draws less current from
the charger. Correspondingly the meter will show less current being drawn by
the battery. When the current stops decreasing, the battery is charged.
