Cleaning and maintenance
Hygiene function
The hygiene function ensures the
washing machine remains clean even
when using a low temperature pro-
gramme.
Notice
The
hygiene function
can be acti-
vated via the Hygiene function setting.
If the temperature of the previous
wash cycle was under 60 °C, the mes-
sage « Autoclean 70 °C» will automat-
ically appear in the display when you
select another programme under 60 °C.

You now have the choice to either
switch to a 60 °C or 90 °C programme,
or first run the hygiene programme to
clean the machine.

the hygiene programme, press

Select the

hygiene
programme to clean the machine (see
Programme survey / Homecare /
70 °C Autoclean
).
Notice
Never place laundry in the machine or
use laundry detergents when running
the hygiene programme!
Cleaning the machine
Caution
Danger of electric shock!

Switch off the power supply to the
machine before cleaning.

Under no circumstances spray the
machine with water.
►
Do not use a steam cleaner.
Notice
Solvents can damage parts of the
machine, produce poisonous vapour
and carry the risk of explosion.
Do not use cleaning agents containing
solvents.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
►
Never scratch or scrape with sharp
objects.
►
Casings and control areas should only
be cleaned with soap or a commercially
available, solvent-free, non-abrasive
cleaning product.
