Washing in the dishwasher
When washing your flatware in the dishwasher, place it as far as possible vertically
and unsorted with the handles downwards in the flatware basket. Do not overload.
Attention:
Wash stainless steel flatware separately from silverware or flatware with a
decorative gold finish. Observe the instructions of use for your dishwasher.
It is recommended that flatware is removed from the dishwasher as quickly as possible
after the end of the wash cycle. If it is too wet, dry it off. Alternatively, you can open the
door of the dishwasher to let the steam escape and avoid a build-up of damp air.
If a stain happens to have formed on a piece of cutlers, remove it as follows:
- For stains, extraneous rust, a rust film or patches of residue build-up, cleaning with a
soft cloth and a commercially available stainless steel cleaning agent is sufficient.
- For tougher stains, immerse the flatware in a solution of 4 heaped spoons of citric acid
and a litre of warm water. Then rinse in clean water and dry well.
If you often see stains forming on the flatware, please check that your dishwasher has
enough salt and rinsing agent as required. It is recommended that only cleaning agents
from one brand/series are used, since these are mutually compatible. Please observe the
instructions of use for your dishwasher.
