Dear Schindelhauer customer
This manual is meant to provide you with information regarding your bikes
handling, technical knowledge and facts, as well as care- and maintenance
instructions. It is advised that you read every single chapter of this manual.
Please also take notice any further manuals provided by any component
manufactures.
Please be aware that some descriptions, instructions and hints given in
this manual may require additional techniques and tools due to a lack of
mechanical experience and skill, or proper tools on the operator’s side.

In the interest of your on security, do not overtax your technical aptitude. If
you are not absolutely sure about an operation or have further questions,
please consult your Schindelhauer dealer.
This manual cannot replace the experience and prowess of a qualified bike
mechanic or teach anyone how to ride a bicycle. Because of that, this
manual is focused on your newly bought bike and its most important com-
ponents, while pointing out vital tips and warnings. It is not meant for a
total piece-by-piece reconstruction of the bicycle.

Always attend to local traffic law. Never ride your bike
under the influence of drugs, alcohol, medication or
extreme fatigue. Never ride with a second person on the
bicycle and always keep hour hands on the handlebar.
Do not endanger yourself or others through your riding.
Always wear adequate clothing.

estimate your own abilities when doing any work on your
bicycle. When in doubt, always contact one of our Schin-
delhauer dealers or directly with us.

To ensure a high level of safety, the following pages are intended to point
out the intended use of your Schindelhauer bike. It is of utmost import-
ance, not to stretch yourself and your bike beyond the limits of its intended
use. This may result in material failure of the frame or other components
and may lead to severe falls and/or personal injury.
Your Schindelhauer bike is a sports bike and may only be operated on plain
to lightly unpaved surfaces and only with the required tire pressure (page
37). The manufacturer and the dealer may not be held responsible for
any injuries, claims or damage that arose due to failing to meet these limit-
ations or violations of any safety suggestions stated within this manual.
The manufacturer and the dealer may also not be held responsible for
damage or injury caused during races or indeed any other competitive use.
Also, the manufacturer and dealer are not liable for any damage or injury
caused by poor maintenance and care.

The model ThinBike is approved for rider weights of max.
90 kg. (permissible totsl weight of max: 115kg)

Bikes in this category were
designed for paved ways and
constant contact between the
tires and the road. This category
is usually comprised of road
bikes with a flat or dropped
handlebar, triathlon-, or time-
trial bikes and the driver weight
must not exceed 120 kg. This approved maximum weight
may further be reduced e.g. were other restrictions by
component manufacturers apply.

Your bike is delivered without reflectors and lighting
equipment and does not comply with German traffic law
due to this. It may not comply with traffic law in your
country as well.

Baby seats may not be used on our bikes. Their attach-
ment is generally forbidden and may only be carried out at
own risk. (Child-) trailers are not to be used on our bikes.

In order to prevent damage to the handlebar, which may
lead to accidents, pay attention to the following instruc-
tions:
• On roof mounted bike carriers, never fixate the bicycle
while it is standing on its handlebar.
• Do not attach weights to your handlebar, be it for
transport reasons or otherwise.
• Never use force to adjust your brake- or shifting levers
or the bell. Always loosen each part prior to any adjust-
ment.
• Never try to fix a bent or twisted handlebar (e.g. after
a crash). Replace it with a new one.
• We strongly advise to have the handlebar replaced by
a professional after three years or 10.000 km in case
of frequent use.
