2-star freezer
The freezer can freeze down to a temperature of -12°C and is
therefore suitable for icecubes and short term storage of food.
3-star freezer
The freezer is approved for long-term storage at -18 °C
4-star freezer
The freezer is approved for freezing and long-term storage at -18
°C. It can freeze a minimum of 4.5 kg. per 100 litre capacity in
one day.
Automatic defrosting of the freezer
(Only applies to models with defrosting)
The freezer defrosts automatically. The frost will drain into a col-
lecting container located on the compressor. The heat from the
compressor causes the contents of the container to evaporate.
The serial number of the cabinet is typically located on the name-
plate, which is found either inside the cabinet or at the back.
Installation
- Place the product in a dry and ventilated room.
- Avoid placing it on balconies, verandas and terraces: high
summer temperatures and severe winter cold may prevent
the product from working correctly or even damage it.
- The product must not be placed near a heat source such as
an oven or radiator.
- The product is designed to work optimally at room tempera-
ture. It is designed for a certain climate class. This is clearly
stated on the data plate located inside the product at the
bottom of the left side wall. Above and below these tempe-
ratures the product’s performance is reduced.

- Make sure a distance of 3-5 cm is kept along the sides
between the refrigerator and other furniture, or 10 cm if the
refrigerator is installed up against a wall, and 10 cm above
the refrigerator in order to ensure good air circulation around
the product .
- Place the product at an appropriate distance from the wall
using the spacers provided in the accessories bag. The spa-
cers should be mounted behind the product.
Once the product is installed, adjust the legs so that the product
is slightly tilted backwards: This will make it easier to close the
door.
Before food can be placed in the product, it must be cleaned
inside and out with baking soda dissolved in water (1 tablespoon
of baking soda to 4 litres of water). Do not use alcohol, scouring
powder or detergents, as these can damage the surfaces.
Adjusting the hinge
Occasionally, the door and the panel above the door are not po-
sitioned in a fully straight line relative to each other. If this is
the case, slightly loosen the screw holding the cover on the up-
per hinge. Screw it back firmly and check that the rubber seal is
completely tight.
Removable handle
Screw off the handle on the left-hand side, and put it on the
right. Use the handle to find the markings for the new holes for
attaching the handle.
If the doors already have holes in both sides:
Take off the plugs concealing the handle screws and the plugs
concealing the holes on the opposite side. Screw the handle off
and put it on the other side. Screw the handle on firmly and in-
sert the plugs, so that they hide the screws and holes.
Electricity connection
For safety reasons, it is imperative to observe the following rec-
ommendations.
The electrical installation must comply with the French standard
NF C 15-100, particularly with regard to earthing.
A 3x2, 5mm single phase line of 230V connected to:
- a single-phase meter 230V-50Hz
- a differential switch and a fuse (10 or 16A depending on the
model).
We cannot be held liable for accidents caused by a faulty electri-
cal installation.
Advice for the electrical installation of the refrigerator/freezer:
- Do not use extension cords, adapters or power strips.
- Never remove the earthing.
- The plug must be easy to access but out of the reach of
children.
Please consult a qualified electrician if you are in any doubt.
Clean the refrigerator before connecting it to the electricity sup-
ply. The plug must be disconnected from the socket before any
maintenance is carried out. Do not pull the cable: hold the plug
firmly to pull it out of the socket.
If the feeder cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the tech-
nical service or by a person with similar qualifications, so as to
avoid any hazards.
The product complies with the European Directives CEE/73/23
(low voltage), CEE/89/336 (electromagnetic compatibility) and
CEE/96/57 (energy efficiency) and the amendments pertaining
to them.
