Periodical Inspection
The aim of the periodic inspection is to control safety and maintenance issues on equipment that
is being used. This inspection, must be done regularly every year so as to prevent malfunctions
that could harm the patients or users – according to annexe B of the EN ISO 10535 standard and
recommendations from Health authorities..The periodical inspection must be performed by a
trained technician knowing the model.
If the technician detects a defect, he must inform the user and have the device put in quarantine
for maintenance before use.

The plastic plates are not bent / unbalanced
Put the stretcher on a flat surface: the beams are right,
no abnormal deformation
Plates:
The plates show no crack, shot or burst
Examine the plate along the beams: no break area shall
not be visible
Scews:
Check that all the screws are properly tightened
Check that all protective caps for hex head screws are
present
Funtional inspection :
Check locking systems: the safety rings must be
present. Try to separate the half stretchers, the locking
system shall show no mechanical slack
Test Load: distribute the maximum load on the stretcher
protecting plates with a cloth / cardboard: the plates
must not break or deform excessively under the weight.
The masses must be distributed as follows:
Labeling :
Check the labels indicating the direction of use, as well
as two product labels are present and in good condition
If all the checks are consistent stick an annual
inspection label on the stretcher.
