EMC 6M, EMC 6ML, EMC 6MLT, EMC 6/4M, EMC 6/4MT:

The following steps and Figure 2-12 describe how to lubricate the upper connecting
rod.

1. Move the needle case all the way to the right (needle #6 position).

2. Press the [MENU] key until the LCD displays: HEAD TIMING MENU.

3. Press the [ALT][

⇑

] keys.

4. Press the [ALT][

⇓

] keys.

5. Press the [

⇒

] key. This will place the upper lubrication hole of the

connecting rod approximately 2 inches (5 cm) below the access hole
located on top of the arm casting, just behind the needle case and left of
center, as shown in Figure 2-12.

6. Position an oiler tube thru the access hole and place the tip of the tube

over the upper lubrication hole. Put 1 to 3 drops of sewing machine oil
into the hole every 80 operating hours.
