sunlight, as the desired cooling performance can then no longer be guaranteed.

The ventilation slots must always be kept clear and must not be covered or obstructed.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before using the unit for the first time, read these operating instructions carefully and follow the
instructions given in them.
•
Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to faults in the unit and to injuries to the user.
•
Observe the accident prevention regulations and general safety regulations applicable to the area of
use.
•
Ensure that the unit is placed on a stable, horizontal surface and not in the vicinity of gas or electric
ovens etc. Do not use the appliance outdoors!
•
Do not touch the outer surface but use the side handles or the lid knob.
•
To avoid burns, keep the appliance out of reach of children.
•
Never clean the appliance by hosing it down or placing it in water. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance
and let it cool down. Clean the outside of the appliance with a warm, damp cloth. The inner pot is non-
stick and can be cleaned with a mild detergent.
•
Do not move the appliance while it is in use.
•
Do not switch on the appliance when it is empty.
•
Do not let the mains cable hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
•
Make sure that it is not possible to accidentally pull the cable or trip over it.

electrical appliances and/or appliances that generate heat, and accidents, fire or damage to property
may result.

Always unplug or disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning or when not in use for a long
period of time.
•
To disconnect the appliance from the mains, pull out the mains plug.
•
Always unplug the mains cable from the mains socket by the mains plug only.
•
Never touch the appliance, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
•
In the event of a fault or malfunction, switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket.
Notify your dealer. He will carry out the repair with original spare parts.
