PORT
1
This RJ45 socket provides an asynchronous serial port which may be used to connect
the unit to compatible serial devices. Suitable adapters and serial cables may be
purchased separately if required.
Note:
On the MW3410 and on MW3520 models fitted with the GPRS option this Port is
not available.
LAN 0
This RJ45 socket is used to connect the unit to a 10/100-BaseT LAN using the 2-metre
cable supplied. The port is auto-sensing for speed and wiring (straight-through/cross-
over).
Note:
On the MW3410 this port is not available.
LAN 1, 2, 3, 4
These RJ45 sockets are the “hub” ports that may be used to connect to other network
devices. All four are auto-sensing for speed (10/100-BaseT) and wiring (straight-
through/cross-over).
GPRS
On models fitted with the GPRS option, this SMA connector is used to attach the dual-
band GSM stub antenna provided or a suitable approved alternative.
Note:
The GPRS connector is a static sensitive port. Anti-static precautions should be
taken when fitting or removing the aerial from this connector.
12V DC
This “jack” socket is used to connect the unit to the mains using the plug-top DC adapter
supplied.
