Safety and operational notices.
1)
IMPORTANT:
When using models fitted with the optional GSM/GPRS radio module, users should carefully
read the separate leaflet entitled “Special note on GSM/GPRS Safety” before using the product.
2)
The MW3520 and MW3410 must only be used with the approved mains power transformer supplied by
Sarian Systems Ltd. Use with any other power supply may damage the unit and will invalidate the warranty
and the product approvals.
3)
Ports that are capable of connecting to other apparatus are defined as SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage)
ports. To ensure conformity with EN60950 ensure that these ports are only connected to ports of the same
type on other apparatus.
4)
The ISDN BRI port is classed as TNV-1 (Telecom Network Voltage – Class 1) and the ADSL / PSTN ports
are classed as TNV-3 (Telecom Network Voltage – Class 3). To ensure conformity with EN60950 ensure
that these ports are only connected to ports of the same type.
5)
Do not attempt to repair the products. They contain no electronic components that can be serviced or
replaced by the user. Any attempt to service or repair the unit by the user will void the product warranty.
6)
The MW3520 and MW3410 are designed for indoor use only and should be used in an environment that is
suitable for computers and other electronic equipment.
7)
With respect to European EMC requirements, the MW3520 and MW3410 are Class A products. In a
domestic environment, these products may cause radio interference in which case the user may be
required to take adequate measures.
8)
The GPRS aerial connector is a static sensitive port. Anti-static handling precautions should be taken when
fitting or removing the aerial from this connector.
9)
To comply with ESD requirements this product should be connected to ground using the M3 threaded stud
at the right hand side of the rear panel.
