Answering Calls
To answer an incoming call:
1.
Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off, incoming
calls go to voicemail.)
2.
Press or to answer an incoming call. (Depending on
your phone’s settings, you may also answer incoming calls
by simply opening the phone or by pressing any number
key. See “Call Answer Mode” on page 46.)
Your phone notifies you of incoming calls in the following
ways:
v
The phone rings and/or vibrates.
v
The LED flashes.
v
The backlight illuminates.
v
The screen displays an incoming call message.
v
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
v
If the phone number is in your Contacts, the Contacts
entry’s name is displayed.
The following options are also displayed by pressing
Options
(right softkey):
v
Answer
to answer the call.
v
Answer:Speaker
to answer the call in speakerphone mode.
v
Select Audio
to switch the call to a device (if available).
v
Answer on Hold
to put the call on hold. (See “Setting Answer
on Hold” on page 18.)
v
Screen Call
to answer the call by using prerecorded
announcement. (See “Setting Up Screen Call” on page 86.)
v
Quiet Ringer
to mute the ringer. (This feature appears when
the ringer is set.)
v
Ignore with Text
to ignore the call and send a text message to
the caller (if available).
