GETTING STARTED
AC operation
When the radio is connected to the AC power for the first time, it will be in standby mode. The display backlight will
be on, the display will first show the “Welcome” and finally the clock. Press the
STANDBY/ON
button
once to turn the radio on, it will then automatically enter into the DAB mode and perform auto scan function.
Once the scan has finished, the radio will select the first alphanumerically found station. You can now press
the or buttons to explore the found stations.
DC (Battery) operation
In DC operation, the
STANDBY/ON
button will work as a
POWER ON/OFF
button. The display will be totally off
when the radio is powered off.
1. Ensure the radio is disconnected from the AC mains.
2. Installed the batteries (4XUM3/AA battery) into the battery compartment.
3.Press the
STANDBY/ON
button on the front panel to toggle the radio between on and off.
Important Note:
To obtain the best performance in DC operation, the use of alkaline batteries is highly
recommended.
Clock setting
The clock will be automatically synchronized to the DAB clock if you can receive DAB signals in your location.
DAB auto scan mode
1. To select DAB mode, press the DAB+/FM button, it will search all DAB Band III channels. Also, you can press
SCAN button to perform automatically scan once. Once the scan has finished, the radio will select the first
alphanumerically found station.
2. To explore the stations that have been found, press the or button.
3. To active your desired stations, press the SELECT button to confirm.
LISTENING TO YOUR RADIO
Hints for better reception
This radio is fitted with a single DAB+/FM telescopic antenna, to obtain the best performance, you should fully extend
the antenna and adjust its position as well as the direction until you find the best reception. For ideal DAB reception,
a vertical upright position is highly recommended.

Install batteries
1.Remove the battery compartment cover on the
back of the unit by pressing down and sliding the cover,
as shown opposite.
2.Fit four UM-3, AA size batteries into the compartment that they have
the correct polarity (see opposite).
Note:
The AC plug shall be disconnected from the mains during the batteries are
used.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using a battery in this device:
1. Warning -Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly
replaced. Replace only with
the same or equivalent type.
2. Use only the size and type of battery specified.
3. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the
battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the battery to prevent
damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge a battery not intended to be recharged;
it can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer's directions.)
6. Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
