Adjusting the sound
To adjust the sound:

to display AUDIO menu, press ENTER to access.

Press MENU . The on-screen menu opens.

Sound Mode — Selects the sound mode. You can select:
. Normal (for normal programs) . Music (for musical programs)
. Movie (for movies) . News (for news programs)
. User (for user setting sound mode).
Note: You can also press SOUND on the remote control to
select the sound mode.

Equalizer — Adjusts the equalizer setting.
!
Balance — Adjusts the balance between the left and right audio
channels.
!
Surround — Turns the Surround sound effect on or off.
!
AVC — (Auto volume control) Turns AVC function on to
equalize the overall volume levels for all channels.
!
Nicam — Only when you set Nicam to through the
menu, you can enable AUTO/STEREO button on the remote
control to quickly select Nicam mode (see below < NICAM
Broadcast Selection >section). To disable stereo sound
selection, set Nicam to OFF from the menu.

Nicam OFF
You can quickly select sound multiplex mode by using the AUTO/STEREO button on the remote control.
This enables the selection of the reception mode when receiving a NICAM signal. To let you enjoy NICAM
broadcasting, this TV set receives NICAM system stereo, bilingual, and monaural broadcasts.
Stereo
When the TV set is receiving a stereo broadcast, press the Stereo button to select Stereo or Force Mono .
When the TV set is receiving a bilingual program, press the Stereo button to select Dual 1 or Dual 2 .
