1. Notes for installation

•

Always ask the authorized personnel to install the UPS. If the UPS is installed

incorrectly, this may cause an electric shock, personal injury, and/or fire.

•

Never operate or store the UPS in the following places. Doing so may cause the UPS to

malfunction, be damaged, or deteriorate, resulting in a fire.
a.

Place where the ambient environmental conditions are beyond those specified in the
product brochure and/or instruction manual (temperature is 0 - 40

°

C and relative humidity

is 30 - 90%), such as those where extremely high temperature, low temperature, high
humidity, and/or low humidity exist.

b. Place where the UPS is exposed to the direct sunlight.
c. Place where the UPS is exposed directly to the heat produced by heat source, such as a

stove.

d.  Place where vibration and/or impact apply to the UPS.
e.  Place near a unit that produces sparks.
f.  Place where dust particles, corrosive gas, salt content, and/or flammable gas exist.
g.  Outdoor place

•

Do not block the air intake and/or exhaust ports. Always keep the UPS 20 cm or more

away from the wall. If the air intake or exhaust port is blocked, the inner temperature of
the UPS may increase, causing the battery to deteriorate, resulting in a fire. Keep
maintenance space 1m or more from UPS front and 50cm or more from UPS back.

•

Always ventilate the place around the UPS. If the specified ventilation volume is not

kept, gas may be produced by the battery during charging of the battery, resulting in
breakage or explosion of the case.

•

Install the UPS in a solid place bearing the weight of the UPS in the correct manner

specified in the instruction manual. Lock caster and fix the UPS to the floor with level
adjuster.

If the UPS is installed incorrectly, this may cause the UPS to fall down or move by impact
or vibration. Resulting in personal injury. Be careful not to have backache.

•

UL-Listed Branch circuit type overcurrent protection device rated min.250Vac,

“ASD70S2U/35S2NU:75A, 100S2U/70S2NU:100A, 140S2U/100S2NU:125A” must be
provided for the input ac circuit by qualified personnel .
