Filter Media
• 20”x20”x1” MERV-8 or equivalent pre-filter must be used and maintained in the Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA filter
box to prevent depris from entering the Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA fan box.
Assembly
• Assemble the supplied 10” duct collars with self threading screws. Duct collars on the fan outlets (square
hole) must be positioned such that they do not obstruct air flow.
• To make installation easy, the Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA system uses 10” circular duct collars. Insulated, flexible
10” duct is recommended to minimize device noise.
Hanging the Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA Fan Box
• The Ceiling HEPA fan boxes have four mounting tabs for hanging from joists, rafters, or trusses and uses (4)
3/8” diameter lag bolts or the equivalent. The tabs may also be used to directly mount to the ceiling above
the drop-ceiling so long as fasteners and anchoring hardware are designed to support 200 pounds. Chains
may also be used on the tabs to provide additional vibration dampening so long as the chains and hardware
are designed to support a minimum of 200 pounds.
Ducting To and From the Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA
• All flexible ducting connected to the unit should be UL listed. The preferred method of ducting is to use 10”
insulated round duct from the filter box collar to the fan box inlet. 10” insulated ducting will connect the fan
box exhaust to the supply diffuser.
