7.2.1.
Installing and Removing Riser Card Expansion Cards
The mainboard with riser card is mounted on a card cage. To access the slot bracket or expansion card screws, the
card cage must be pulled-out slightly.
To install or remove a riser card expansion cards, proceed as follows:
1.
Switch off and disconnect the product from the mains power supply.
2.
Open the cover as described in Chapter 7.1: Opening and Closing the Cover.
3.
Unscrew the four card cage screws on the rear side (Figure 26). Retain the screws for later use.
4.
Lift the card cage upwards, and slide out slightly, to gain access to the slot bracket or expansion card screws.

5.
Install/remove the expansion card(/s) in/from the respective riser card’s expansion slot(/s) (Figure 21, pos. 9)
and fasten the expansion card or the slots bracket to the card cage.(Figure 21, pos. 8)
6.
Slide the card cage back into the original position and fasten the four card cage screws to secure the card cage.
7.
Close and secure the cover with the knurled screws.as described in Chapter 7.1: Opening and Closing the Cover
(step 5).
7.2.2.
Installing and Removing Low Profile Expansion Cards
To install or remove low profile expansion cards, proceed as follows:
1.
Switch off and disconnect the product from the mains power supply.
2.
Open the product as described in the Chapter 7.1: Opening and Closing the Cover.
3.
Install a low profile expansion card by removing the slot bracket’s fasten screw and retaining the slot bracket
with screw for later use. Insert the low profile expansion card into the respective expansion card slot and
secure the expansion card with fastening screw (Figure 20: pos. 6)
4.
Remove a low profile expansion card by unscrewing the expansion card’s screw (Figure 20, pos. 6).and
removing the low profile expansion card from the respective expansion card slot on the mainboard. (Store the
expansion card with screw for possible later use). Insert a slot bracket into the empty expansion card slot on
the rear side of the chassis and secure the slot bracket by fastening the slot bracket screw. (Figure 20: pos. 6)
5.
Close and secure the cover with the knurled screws as described in the Chapter 7.1: Opening and Closing the
Cover (step 5).
