GENERAL SAFETY
• For your continued safety and to reduce the risk of injury or electric shock, read all instructions carefully before
using the unit and keep them for future reference. Please follow all the safety precautions listed below.
• Retain this manual. Include this manual if you pass the unit onto a third party.
• Keep ventilation openings in the unit enclosure clear of obstructions.
• Choose a location for your unit away from heat sources such as radiators or fires.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.
• Keep mains cable out of reach from children.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
ELECTRICAL
• All wiring must comply with local and national electrical codes and be installed by a qualified service agent. If
you have any questions regarding the following instructions, contact a qualified service agent.
• Check the available power supply and resolve any wiring issues before installation and operation of this unit.
• For your safety and protection, this unit is grounded through the power cord plug when plugged into a
matching wall outlet. If you are not sure whether the wall outlets in your home are properly grounded, please
consult a qualified service agent. Do not use plug adaptors or extension cords with this unit.
• Do NOT use the unit if the mains cord or plug is loose or damaged or requires repair / replacement. If the
supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Use ONLY the supplied cord and plug.
MOVING / TRANSPORTATION
• Always transport the unit in a vertical position.
• A minimum of 2 people are needed to move this unit safely.
POSITIONING
• If the unit is knocked over during use, turn off the unit and unplug from the mains immediately. Leave the unit
to settle for a few hours before using. This ensures the coolant has fully filled the compressor and will help
prevent the unit from initiating the auto-cut off function due to overheating.
• Ensure the unit is securely placed on a stable, level surface.
• Do not trap the mains cord in any way.
LOCATION
• Place and store away from direct sunlight, e.g., do NOT place or store under a window or next to a sliding glass
patio door.
• Do NOT place or store the unit where it can call or be pulled into water or any other liquid.
• Your unit should be used in such a way that it is protected from moisture, e.g., condensation and splashes of
water.
• Do NOT operate your unit in a wet room, such as a bathroom or laundry room, or in any other room that will
get wet.
• Do NOT use the unit in the presence of inflammable substances or vapours, such as alcohol, insecticide, petrol,
