Extension Cords
If an extension cord is used, the
cross sectional area of its
conductors must meet the
following minimum requirements -
depending on the line voltage and
length of the extension cord:
If rated voltage on the rating label
is 220v to 240v
-Cord length up to 20 m: AWG
15/1.5mm 2
-Cord length 20m up to 50 m: AWG
13/2.5mm 2
If rated voltage on the rating label
is 100v to 127v
-Cord length up to 10m: AWG
14/2.0mm 2
-Cord length 10m up to 30 m: AWG
12/3.5mm 2
Instructions for disposal
The bin symbol (on the packaging and/or product) indicates that the article
is classified as EEE
(electrical and electronic equipment), and must therefore be disposed of in
the appropriate recycling receptacles of WEEE (waste electrical and
electronic equipment).
Do not dispose of electrical and electronic equipment in household waste!
The European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE) incorporated in national law, stipulates that electrical or
electronic equipment no longer suitable for use must be collected separately
and sent for recovery in an environmentally friendly manner, either
disposing of the equipment in the appropriate Local Authority recycling
receptacles or returning it to the supplier when buying a replacement.
The manufacturer is directly or indirectly involved in the re-use, recycling
or recovery of the article.
