After you have securely connected the VGA cable to the back of the

"Fn"
key and tapping the
"F8"
key.
NOTE: Some laptop computers us the
"F5"

"Fn"

An Important Note about Laptop Computer Video
Most laptops offer three video settings:
local video (only)
- computer video is only displayed on the laptop
projector video (only)-
computer video is 'sent' to another display device such as an LCD projector, CRT monitor,
or plasma display
local video AND projector video
- computer video is simultaneously sent to both the local laptop display, as well
as being sent to another device such as an LCD projector, CRT monitor, or plasma display.
Many Laptops cannot display video to both the local (built-in) video monitor as well as the external video port. The
solution to this problem is to de-activate the local video monitor by toggling to the ‘external video only” mode.
