Common Setting:
Two options are available.
Reply Path: allows the recipient of your SMS
message to send you a reply message via your
message centre, if the service is provided by the
network.
Delivery Reports: allows you to activate or deactivate
the report function. When this function is activated,
the network informs you whether your message has
been sent or not.

This network service allows you to receive text
messages on various topics, such as the weather or
traffic. Messages are displayed immediately they are
received, provided that:
• The phone is in the idle mode
• The
Receive
option is set to
Enable
• The message channel is currently active in the
channel list
The last ten messages are also stored for later
retrieval.
The following options are available.
Read:
lets you view the first message. Scroll through
the message using the
and
keys. At the
end of the message, press the
Next
soft key to move
to the next message.
Edit:
allows you to write a new message or edit the
selected preset message.
Note:

characters in your message, refer to page 35.
Send Message:
allows you to recall the selected
message. Once you have completed the message, you
can send, save and send, or simply save it.
Delete:
allows you to delete the selected message.
Setup
Menu 2.4
Via this menu, you can set up default information for
the SMS feature. A setting group is a collection of
settings required to send messages. The number of
setting groups available depends on the capacity of
your SIM card.
Setting x
(where x is the setting group number):
each group has its own sub-menu.
Service Centre: allows you to store or change the
number of your SMS centre required when sending
messages. You must obtain this number from your
service provider.
Default Type: allows you to set the default message
type (Text, Fax, E-mail and Paging). The network can
convert the messages into the selected format.
Default Validity: allows you to set the length of time
for which your text messages will be stored at the
message centre while attempts are made to deliver
them to you.
Setting Name: allows you to give a name to the
setting group currently being defined.
